Mason has been teaching fiddle in a variety of capacities for nearly 20 years and has operated his own private studio since 2016. In addition to private instruction, Mason has taught workshops across the United States, Europe, and Canada, sharing his passion for fiddle with students of all ages and skill levels.
Private lessons are offered both in person at Mason’s home studio in Winchester, VA and online for students anywhere in the world. Each lesson is one hour long and scheduled on a weekly basis.

Lesson Payment Policy
Enrollment in the studio is reserved for weekly students only, consisting of one one-hour lesson per week. Students are charged a flat monthly fee equivalent to four lessons, which secures a consistent, reserved time slot in the schedule. This structure ensures predictable monthly billing and guarantees the student’s place, regardless of months that may include more than four lesson opportunities.
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, a makeup lesson will be offered based on availability; however, the monthly fee remains unchanged, and no refunds or discounts are provided for missed lessons.
If the teacher must cancel or is unavailable at the scheduled time, a makeup lesson will be offered. If a mutually agreeable makeup time cannot be arranged, the student will receive a credit applied to the following month’s payment or will not be charged for that lesson.
