Mason Wright has been playing bluegrass fiddle for over 20 years, carving out a sound that blends tradition with his own unique style. Born and raised in Rocky Mount, Virginia, he got his start playing local gigs and fiddle contests with his grandpa. Before long, his siblings joined in, and they formed The Wright Kids, a family band that gained recognition at local festivals.

Mason studied violin performance at Shenandoah Conservatory, where he balanced classical training with his love for bluegrass. During that time, he became a member of regional band Lonesome Highway, playing with the band for seven years before moving on to tour with Audie Blaylock and Redline. After his time with Redline, he joined the progressive bluegrass duo Dunlap and Mabe, adding his fiddle work to their innovative sound. He is now the fiddler for the high-energy bluegrass group Seth Mulder & Midnight Run.

Over the years, Mason has toured extensively across the United States, Europe, and Canada, performing at major festivals including RockyGrass, Bean Blossom, the Westport Bluegrass Festival, and the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival. He has also appeared on NPR and WSM Radio. His fiddle work can be heard on recordings that have reached the Bluegrass Today charts, including multiple #1 singles. Along the way, he has shared the stage and studio with some of the biggest names in bluegrass and country, including Vince Gill, Rhonda Vincent, The Lonesome River Band, and Ronnie McCoury.

Outside of performing, Mason is an experienced teacher who runs his own private studio near Winchester, VA. He has taught fiddle and band workshops all over the world, sharing his passion for music and helping players of all levels find their groove.
